Maybe you are now sorry for eating for 2 or 3 or 4 while you were pregnant! Its not over till its over. You can lose nearly all of the baby weight. I should know. I lost it all and I have birthed 10, children. Today, I weigh exactly what I weighed, when I got married 120 pounds! When you accumulate that extra 10-15 lbs and carry it on the next baby - think of the results (especially for myself). Thankfully I didn't do that.

Pregnancy Exercise

So... Let us get started. Exercise. Exercise before, during, and after pregnancy. Having a baby is not a disease. It is a natural part of being a woman. If you didn't exercise before or during pregnancy, then its not too late to start.

Losing Weight While Breastfeeding

First of all, you should nurse your baby. It is God's way of getting you back in shape. Nursing, along with burning calories, adjusts your hormones and body (organs included) to return to a normal size. Its best for you and your baby, Nursing for six months or more lowers your breast cancer risk significantly as well!

Dieting While Breastfeeding

Dieting while breastfeeding is a tricky thing as you must eat well to feed your baby and maintain your milk supply.

Post Pregnancy Workout

After consulting your doctor or midwife, you can begin an exercise program. Exercise of a gentle nature at first is the best way to burn calories. You don't need a gym. You just need a yoga mat, an exercise ball, and a friend if possible. Make sure you drink enough water during exercise. When nursing, it is not unusual to drink a gallon of water daily. When incorporating exercise, you must drink even more. Make it water, not sugary sodas, tea or coffee. Additionally, exercise programs should include both cardio and strength training, using simple aids such small weights or weighted wrist or ankle attachments that will sufficiently add resistance. Using an exercise ball or your own weight as resistance is fine as well. Begin with 30-60 minutes of cardio 3-5 times a week. If you've got a pack or stroller, get out for a brisk walk. You can purchase jogging strollers as well. Wear a very strong fitted sports bra and proper shoes. Stretch for 5 minutes before any type of exercise. Start easy and build up to higher intensity. Go with a friend, as it is more fun that way. A treadmill at the gym is not quite the same, but is okay for cardio. You can do a cardio workout in your living room with a TV (cable or DVD). Commit to a 30 minute strength (resistance) program 2-3 times a week. Keep a record of your progress with photos. You'll be amazed at your change so record it. Exercises with small weights will tighten loose or flabby arms. Push ups are great for your core and arms. Set goals. Your tummy will shrink through general exercise and cardio. You don;t have to starve or do a thousand crunches for you to lose the mom pouch. Give yourself a delicious salad instead of a candy bar. The healthy choices will help your body use calories better, You can even cheat, but have frozen yogurt with fruit instead of ice cream with 5 toppings and whipped cream! Peach yogurt with fresh fruit - LOVE IT!! Since I've nursed all ten and successfully lost all the baby weight. I know you can do it, just keep moving!
